Darkroom Gallery Master

My photographic work is all about light, form and tone, whether the subject is a nude figure, a majestic landscape, or the detail of a moment. Image capture tools range from 150 year old lenses and fixed exposure box cameras to modern full-frame digital cameras and modern lenses. Printing tools range from modern inkjet printers to hybrid, hand-made prints using techniques such as palladium printing, cyanotypes, gum bichromate and encaustics. As far as beauty is concerned, it can be found in the subject itself, the lighting which renders the subject, the textures in the images, or the patterns that make up the image. The blending of old and new, as well as traditional photography and other art forms, is something I am also very interested in. This began with shooting and developing film, continued with large format and the use of old, sometimes “imperfect” lenses (by modern standards). I am attracted to soft focus images and pictorialism.

Upcoming Exhibits

After 99 Exhibitions we're taking a break.

Over the next month or two we are planning to do some work on our web site and better organize and advertise our inventory of fabulous prints we have been collecting. We also want to host a few more workshops and photographer community events.

Once we regroup, for our 100th exhibit, we are planning to host our 4th Champlain Valley Photo Slam Probably in November/December.

We really appreciate all the support we have received over the last seven years and queries from eager photographers about future exhibitions.

Stay tuned!
