My photographs question perception, illustrating reality as a highly subjective and ambiguous experience. Although these single images are layered with visual information that hints at abstraction, they are not manipulated. It is their intent to make the viewer question what is real, what is constructed, and what is imagined. These photographs use sincerity, confusion, and beauty to evoke an immersive emotional experience, even before the individual elements are considered. The making of these photographs is influenced by my subliminal mind, my past, and my emotions; they explore the transient nature of experience by describing an instant in the flux of time.
